Next week Twin Lakes S.S. presents:

"The Wiz"

a musical stage production involving students from com-tech, 'the spa' cosmo class, tech classes, drama and music students, and wonderful helpful staff.

Come out to see it April 10, 11 and 12!

* Ender's Game movie review due next Wednesday ( you will have computer time in the lab to complete your review)

* when to make career choices
* lifestyle choices and motivations for working

Homework for tonight:
Ask your Mom or Dad or the person who is in charge of you about the monthly costs of the following for your household:
- utlities such as water, electricity, internet, phone
- food
- heating
- activities / entertainment

Tomorrow:
- we will look at costs for housing in the area of Orillia, Washago, Ramara
- we will look at jobs that will support specific choices for real estate / housing

2014 ChangeTheWorld

ChangeTheWorld is an annual province-wide campaign to engage youth ages 14 - 18 to volunteer a minimum of 3 hours during April 6 - May 19. 
The goal is to engage 33,000 youth. 
This is a joint initiative by the Government of Ontario and the Ontario Volunteer Centre Network. Visit:www.ovcn.ca.

Sheridan Industrial Mechanic Millwright Pre-Apprentice Training Program (2014)
Sheridan will be delivering an Industrial Mechanic Millwright Pre-Apprentice Training Program with classes beginning on May 5, 2014.
Students accepted into this 32-week program will attend classes at Sheridan's Skills Training Centre, located in Oakville, and will receive both theoretical and practical training. Following the successful completion of the in-school training component, there will be an 8-week paid work placement in an industrial setting.
The Pre-Apprenticeship Program includes in-class training and an on-the-job paid work placement with no cost to the student.
